The 2017 competition season got under way for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Marching Band & Guard with a USBands "clinic and preview" show on Sept. 9 at Edison High School. We have an album of photos taken from the sidelines (click here). The following weekend, the Raiders hosted a USBands competition involving ten other schools, and performed in exhibition to close the show (See previous post).
The next stop on the competition circuit was Sept. 23, under the lights at Piscataway High School. Click here for a set of photos taken from the stands, giving a different view of the show.
The Piscataway competition came at the end of a long day for the band, which also included a half-time performance and Senior Recognition ceremonies at the SPFHS home football game that day (See separate post).
